Crossflon® Slide Bearings and Skidway Systems

In the three decades since their invention, Crossflon® Slide Bearings have become a vital product within the construction sector.

They are used to solve problems of movement caused by temperature change, differential material thermal expansion, settlement and natural forces encountered by high winds and seismic activity.

Typical applications include bridges, shopping centres, hospitals, stadiums and airports.

Developing our Crossflon® Slide Bearings led to us adapting the low coefficient of friction technology to make Crossflon® Skidway Systems.

These systems are used to aid the skidding of heavy structures such as bridges.

Slide Wire & Textile Overbraid Wire & Textile Overbraid Overbraid provides reinforcement and
protection from mechanical and abrasive
damage, in addition to external chemical
attack to all types of rubber and plastic
tubing. In addition, overbraid can be used
for protecting both metallic & PTFE bellows.
It also increases the hoop strength of the
tubing and limits axial movement.
